Security Balance Patch v0.1.3
Thanks for all the feedback on public lobbies. This update keeps working on the Security Guard so every player gets to play the round before the shotgun decides it. All players need v0.1.3 to play together: restart Steam if it hasn't downloaded yet.
These are all optional settings that the party host can toggle
New: confirm the Cheater at the computer
• With the Guard Shooting Cooldown on, the Guard can now pick and confirm the Cheater at the security computer, just like the Jester and the Robber.
• One attempt per round. A correct confirmation lets the Guard shoot that Cheater right away, before the shotgun unlocks for everyone else.
• A wrong confirmation uses up the attempt for that round. It does not cost a shot, but it gives no early shooting either.
• Confirming is not a win on its own: the Guard still has to take the shot.
Guard Shooting Cooldown
• The shotgun unlocks 5 seconds after the Cheater reaches 70% of the money goal, and stays unlocked for the rest of the round.
• Confirmed targets (Cheater, Jester or Robber) can be shot before that 70% is reached.
Security Guesses
• On the automatic setting, lobbies of 5 or more players now give the Guard 2 guesses.
• The number is set when the match starts and stays the same for the whole match, even if someone leaves.
Fixes
• Fixed movement on AZERTY, Dvorak and other non-QWERTY keyboards.
• Leaving a lobby and quickly joining again no longer gets stuck on CONNECTING.
The game is best with friends: create a Private Room and share the code. Keep the reports coming on Discord and through the in-game bug reporter. We apologize if you did not like the game, we will keep working hard to improve it.
